Champaca absolute, solvent-extracted from the flowers of Magnolia champaca (formerly Michelia champaca). Grown in southern India and used extensively in traditional attar work.

The profile sits between orange blossom, tea and magnolia, with a dry, faintly spicy edge and a green-fruity lift. It is more transparent and less indolic than jasmine, and it brings an unusual dryness to floral accords.
