How we verify a counterparty.
Before any introduction, both the producer and the buyer are checked. The same file of evidence then travels with every offer and request.

The checks

Company identity
Registration documents, directors and registered address, checked against the national company register where one is available online.

Beneficial ownership
Everyone who owns or controls 25% or more, or otherwise controls the company, is named and identified.

Sanctions and adverse media
Company, owners and directors are screened against UN, EU, UK and US sanctions lists, politically exposed person lists and adverse media.

Licences
Mining, export, dealer or refinery licences are checked against the issuing authority or the national mining cadastre.

Mine of origin and custody
For 3TG, gold, diamonds and cobalt: where the material was mined and every hand it passed through. See 3TG rules.

Periodic review
Documents carry expiry dates. Expired licences or new adverse findings suspend offers until they are resolved.

The document file
Each verified company has a due-diligence file. Every document is logged with its type, status and expiry.

Buyers are verified too
Producers deserve to know who they are selling to. Buyers complete business verification before they can see offer details. Gold also requires a separate approval, and uranium enquiries are accepted only from counterparties licensed by their nuclear regulator.
