Compliance Information

Regulated botanicals, CITES-listed species, allergens, and the boundary between what we document and what you must determine.

Template document

This is a good-faith template written for a business of this type. It has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction. Have it reviewed against the law where you operate and where you sell before relying on it commercially.

01Our position

We provide compliance information; we do not certify compliance. Product records carry fields for botanical identity, INCI name, CAS number, country of origin, HS code, allergen information, CITES status and regulatory notes so that you can make your own assessment properly.

Nothing on this site should be read as a statement that a material is compliant with the regulations governing your finished product in your market. That determination is yours.

02CITES-listed species

Some materials are governed by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. In this catalogue that includes all Aquilaria species (agarwood and oud) and Osyris lanceolata, both Appendix II.

Appendix II listing means international movement requires an export permit from the country of origin, and most destinations require corresponding import documentation. The listing applies to the genus, not the harvesting method — plantation-grown material still requires a permit.

We assess the permit pathway per shipment and per destination before quoting, and we decline where no documented pathway exists. We do not encourage or facilitate illegal harvesting or export under any circumstances.

03Allergens and IFRA

Declarable allergen content is determined per lot by analysis. Where an allergen declaration is listed for a lot it reflects that lot only; where none is listed, none has been issued and none should be assumed.

IFRA conformity certificates are issued against a specific standard revision where available for a lot. If your market requires one, request it before ordering rather than after.

04REACH and CLP

REACH registration status is supplier-dependent and confirmed per shipment for EU destinations. Safety data sheets are supplied for all materials and carry the applicable GHS classification.

05Not for ingestion

No material in this catalogue is supplied for ingestion. Nothing here is a representation that any material is safe, approved or legally marketable as a food, flavouring or supplement in any jurisdiction.

06Natural variation and analysis

Analytical documentation describes the lot it was produced from and no other. GC-MS establishes composition and detects common adulterants; it does not establish geographic origin, and it does not establish that a material will perform in your formulation. Both require your own evaluation.
