What to plan for
- Rail and port capacity at Transnet has been a constraint; many producers truck ore, which raises cost and dust exposure.
- The North–South corridor from Zambia and the DRC through Zimbabwe (Beitbridge) is long — often two to three weeks by road.
- Platinum-group metals and gold move as high-value cargo with specialist security logistics.
