The routes
- Walvis Bay–Ndola–Lubumbashi
- By road through the Caprivi (Zambezi region) to Zambia and the DRC Copperbelt.
- Trans-Kalahari
- To Botswana and Gauteng, South Africa.
- Trans-Cunene
- North to southern Angola.
Namibia's uranium from the Erongo region — including Rössing and Husab — is exported through Walvis Bay under Class 7 dangerous-goods rules. See radioactive cargo.
02
What to plan for
- Namibia bans the export of unprocessed lithium ore; concentrate is allowed — see export rules.
- Road distances from the Copperbelt are long; the corridor competes on reliability rather than distance.
